Thames Reach

Thames Reach is a London-based charity helping homeless and vulnerable people to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. To support our service users and the wider community back into work, Thames Reach developed the Employment Academy, which opened in early 2013. 

Toucan Employment

Toucan is a charity dedicated to supporting people with learning difficulties/disabilities in Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham. They aim to reduce the social exclusion of their clients by helping them find and retain suitable supported employment.

Southwark Wellbeing Hub 

Together UK are a leading national charity supporting people with mental health issues to lead independent, fulfilling lives as part of their communities. The Southwark Wellbeing Hub provides information and support to anyone experiencing problems with their mental wellbeing, helping them – and their friends, families and carers – to navigate local services, groups and activities so that they can find the right support.

Leonard Cheshire Disability

Leonard Cheshire Disability are the UK's leading charity supporting disabled people. At the Employment Academy, a team of three provide information, advice and guidance around a range of issues from benefits, care, mobility and housing to employment.

 Lewisham and Southwark College

Lewisham and Southwark College is an established education provider in the two South London boroughs. At the Employment Academy the college runs two accredited courses in entry-level English and Maths.


Pact is a national charity which supports people affected by imprisonment. PACT provide practical and emotional support to prisoners' children and families, and to prisoners themselves.


One of the world's leading providers of professional services such as audit and tax, KPMG have generously supported the Employment Academy with in-depth interview training.

 McKinsey & Company

The global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company has developed a bespoke Work Ready Programme in close co-operation with Thames Reach. The a week-long series of sessions is designed to get participants ready for the workplace.
