A new drop-in service that will help formerly homeless and long-term unemployed men and women find education, training and employment opportunities is launching at the Employment Academy this month.

The Thames Reach Employment Information, Advice and Guidance service gives Lambeth and Southwark residents the chance to meet with a trained employment advisor to discuss employment goals and what skills people may need to develop to get back into work.

Thames Reach support worker Wonde Mosie, who is managing the service, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer this new service for long-term unemployed people that will help them get the right advice to get back into work. We hope the service will be a real boost to the local community.”

This free drop-in service is open to all and runs every weekday from 10am – 4pm at the Thames Reach Employment Academy, 29 Peckham Road, London SE5 8UA.
