The Employment Academy events space
The Employment Academy events space will host the Camberwell Community Council meeting

20 September 2013

Camberwell residents will have the opportunity to share their views on local issues with Southwark councillors at the Camberwell Community Council meeting, to be held at the Thames Reach Employment Academy on Monday 30 September.

The quarterly Camberwell Community Council meetings provide an opportunity for residents to influence how council services are delivered and find out more about plans for the area. Nine Southwark councillors elected to represent Camberwell sit on the Camberwell Community Council and take decisions relating to key local issues.

September’s meeting will be focused on the budget, with local residents having the opportunity to talk to the council about plans for spending in the area.

Also on the agenda are youth activities in Camberwell, the relaunch of the Cleaner Greener Safer initiative, the council’s capital and revenue scheme and Healthwatch Southwark.

Employment Academy
facilities and marketing manager Anneke Ziemensaid:"The last Camberwell Community Council meeting brought in a wonderfully eclectic mix of members of the community, so we are delighted to host this meeting again. The old hall is perfect for this occasion and it's a pleasure to be part of community life in this way."

The meeting is open to all Camberwell residents, and will be held on Monday 30 September 2013 at 7pm at The Employment Academy, 29 Peckham Road, SE5 8UA.
