Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg visited the Thames Reach Employment Academy in Camberwell today to attend an event hosted by the national charity Pact, which supports families affected by imprisonment.

The event highlighted the charity’s new Our Voice charter, which highlights the problems faced by children and young people when a parent is sent to prison.

Andy Keen-Downs, Chief Executive of Pact, said: “We need to remember the children and young people who are the hidden victims of crime.”

Nick Clegg MP, who spoke at the event, said: “I think the work that Pact does for hidden victims of crime is highly valuable.”

Pact works inside prisons, from prison visitors centres, and in the community.
