Two new accredited courses that will help people improve their IT and maths skills are being launched at the Thames Reach Employment Academy.

The Level One Maths and Digital Skills courses are being run by London adult training centre City Lit, in partnership with Thames Reach, and are open to anyone including Thames Reach service users, staff and volunteers.

The Level One Maths course is aimed at people who already have basic maths skills. The course is open to anyone living in London and free for those who do not have a level one (GCSE level) qualification in maths.

The Digital Skills course is for those who have little or no IT skills and is open to anyone and free for those who are receiving benefits.

Thames Reach skills programme developer, Virginia Croft, said: “Does Maths scare you? Are computers a mystery? Do you want a practical, recognised qualification that could help you to find work? Then these courses are for you!”
