Thames Reach has produced a newsletter exploring new and existing projects at the charity and developments in the ways in which homelessness is being tackled in the capital.

The News Reach publication explores how readers can help the charity through its fundraising campaigns and details how some companies have been offering us their support.

Among the stories is the Thames Reach Christmas campaign which features the moving story of how one former rough sleeper has turned his life around thanks to the support of the charity. See #jerrysjourney

The magazine also looks at how an 89-year-old man was reunited with his son who thought his father was dead after going missing ten years ago.

The front-page headline story announces the launch of a ground-breaking new scheme in Lambeth which is set to transform the lives of people living in residential care by giving them the chance to move into their own home.

There’s a feature on the successful campaign to help people sleeping rough in the London borough of Newham.

Articles and photos of schemes helping former homeless people find the jobs they need and deserve play a prominent role in the publication, including those based at the Employment Academy.

Award-winning projects, an interview with a new board member and a comment piece on a new mental health alliance also feature prominently.

Thames Reach director Bill Tidnam, said: “This publication outlines how Thames Reach is developing new and innovative approaches to the problems faced by homeless and marginalised people. It shows how we have forged strong links with trusts and brought in experts from a range of areas to prevent people becoming homeless or to help them recover and move on with their lives if they do.”
