Thames Reach’s Employment Academy will be hosting an event to celebrate the vital role volunteers play in helping Thames Reach to function next week.

The Thames Reach volunteer event is open to all and will feature a range of stalls, talks and information on how people can get involved in volunteering for Thames Reach.

There will also be a number of external volunteering agencies running stalls and  information sessions.

In any single week there are dozens of volunteers working at Thames Reach, providing vital support to the organisation and engaging directly with service users.

Thames Reach’s Rashpal Panesar said: “The volunteer event will be about showcasing the amazing work of our loyal volunteers and how much they do for Thames Reach. It will also be an opportunity for people to come along and find out how they can get involved in volunteering for Thames Reach and find out about the benefits of doing so, such building their work skills and having direct access to job opportunities.”

The volunteer event is free and open to all and will take place on Wednesday 11 December from 4.30 – 7.30pm at the Employment Academy, 29 Peckham Road, London SE5 8UA. For more information please call 020 3617 6070.
