An influential project dedicated to supporting women who are working in the construction industry, is holding an information session at the Thames Reach Employment Academy this week.

The Women into Construction Project helps women to find jobs, get work experience and develop the skills and training necessary to find work in construction.

Kath Moore, Project Manager for the Women into Construction Project said: “Traditionally, women have found it hard to break into working in the construction industry. The Women into Construction Project is breaking down some of these barriers and helping women get the right support they need to find employment in what is an exciting and interesting area of work.”

Thames Reach’s Employment and Resettlement Manager Rashpal Panesar said: “The Women in Construction Project has had a great deal of success in supporting women to find employment in the construction industry. We would really like to encourage those interested to get in touch and come along to the session at the Employment Academy.”

The free information session is open to all and will be running from 1pm – 3pm on Thursday 23 May at the Employment Academy, 29 Peckham Road, Southwark, SE5 8UA.
